Research Interests

Alan Edelman is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at MIT and a member of the Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratories. Alan develops software and algorithms for high performance computers as well as working on numerical linear algebra and random matrix theory. He is the leader of CSAIL’s Applied Computing Group.  His research interests include high-performance computing, numerical computation, linear algebra and stochastic eigenanalysis (random matrix theory).
