Research Interests
James Frew is an Associate Professor of Environmental Informatics in the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management and a principal investigator in UCSB’s Institute for Computational Earth System Science (ICESS). His current research focuses on the discovery, provenance, curation, and immersive visualization of geospatial information. He has an extensive background in remote sensing, image processing, software architecture, massive distributed data systems, and digital libraries.
