Research Interests

Jennie Duggan is the Lisa Wissner-Slivka and Benjamin Slivka Junior Professor in Computer Science and an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Previously, she was a postdoctoral associate in the Database Group at MIT working with Michael Stonebraker and Sam Madden. She received her PhD from Brown University in 2012, where she was advised by Ugur Çetintemel. Her research interests include scientific data management, federated databases and cloud computing. She is especially focused on making data-driven science applications fast and scalable.  Her Erdös number is 3.
