Saman Amarasinghe is a Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT and is a member of CSAIL. His research interests are in discovering novel approaches to improve performance of computer systems without unduly increasing the complexity faced by end-users, application developers, compiler writers or computer architects. He leads the Commit Group (COMpliers at MIT).
