Research Interests

Stavros Papadopoulos is a senior research scientist at Intel’s Parallel Computing Lab. He is currently on assignment at MIT as a visiting scientist as part of the ISTC for Big Data. Before joining Intel, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) from September 2011 to January 2014. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science at HKUST, under the supervision of Prof. Dimitris Papadias, and spent a year and a half as a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in the research group of Prof. Yufei Tao.  His research interests include array databases, massively parallel architectures, verifiable computation, searchable encryption, private information retrieval and differential privacy.
